Nonprofit Organizations that Make a Difference

I, like many Americans, am deeply saddened by the current events that have brought pain to so many people across the country. There are so many examples of blatant oppression and ignorance in the last century alone, which I believe to be caused by systematic societal failures spanning many generations. I want nothing more than to help those that are oppressed, and aid in changing our society to be a safe space for everyone. This is something that will take time and effort from everyone in the country, but is absolutely possible. I have committed to doing everything that I can to help, now and going forward. Nobody deserves to live in fear, like so many members of our communities do. I will do everything in my power to educate those that are ignorant of issues regarding inequality, be an ally, and donate money to nonprofit organizations that provide resources for those who need it.

While these events are topical right now, this is a cause that must be continually advocated for in order to provide meaningful, lasting change. I have researched these organizations, which exist to provide assistance to a variety of oppressed groups, and plan on donating to all of them myself. I urge you to donate to any of these charities, and continue to educate yourself on the ways in which you can be an ally for others.
