I have always been someone who preferred simple clothes and neutral colors. Lately, I have been pushing myself to accent my looks with elements outside of my comfort zone since you can only have so many neutral staples. I have been experimenting with different patterns to add a touch of sass to otherwise simple outfits, so I thought that I would list them out for you today!

Cheetah Print

Out of all of the animal prints out there, cheetah print is my favorite. It has gone in and out of style throughout my lifetime, but I am so happy that it is back on trend this season. It is an inherently sassy print, so it instantly adds a fun touch to any outfit. I have wardrobe elements from tops to shoes to blazers in this print, and I couldn’t love it more!

Horizontal Stripes

Stripes are such an understated, classic print. It always reminds me of classy Parisian women, which is honestly something that I have always striven to emulate. The print is perfect for both work and leisure, since they do a great job of adding an interesting element to jeans, skirts, and slacks alike!

Snakeskin

Snakeskin is my favorite print to pair with a simple black and white look. They add a slightly sexy element to a monochromatic ensemble, especially in the form of a cute pair of leather shoes or evening bag. They also look great paired with a structured leather jacket for a night on the town!

Polka Dots

This print has been a favorite for ages, but has really made a breakout appearance this season. I love adding polka dots to my work looks, since they add a sweet, girly element. I personally love when they are paired with ruffles for a super girly aesthetic!

Florals

I have always loved floral prints of all varieties. They also have an inherently girly feel, and are a super fun way to incorporate color. I have a couple of great floral blazers and cardigans that I absolutely love, specifically because they offset the structured nature of a white button up and slacks. It is a pattern that will work for any occasion, so you really can’t go wrong in an outfit that incorporates it!
